Drown- Carolina Liar

"You're a mess but yes you're beautiful"

I gained 10 pounds when I was staying at the hospital with my mom.  Whoops.  So, because I still have 5 lbs to lose (and because I am a nutrition major), I really need to get back into shape.  Good thing my job is very physical.

This is apparently Carolina Liar's new single.   It is going to be available on iTunes on the 12th.  But, anywho, I really like this band.  Like 2 years ago they got famous, then they disappeard, but yay they're somewhat back again!  Plus, I love the lead singers long luscious locks lol.

So soon you will learn to forget
bad times, the rules and regrets
One day they won't reach for you
So you put the fires you set
As smoke fades from your last cigarette
You're a mess but yes you're beautiful

Oh, come on down
We can drown in this water
It's only gonna set us free
Come on down
We can drown in this water
You've been praying for a remedy

Who really cares for fatal mistakes
Trailer park dreams
don't carry much weight
In the long run you've got nuthing to prove
So go run while you can still get away
Take a breath while it's still yours to take
You're a mess but yes you're beautiful

Oh, come on down
We can drown in this water
It's only gonna set us free
Come on down
We can drown in this water
You've been praying for a remedy

So who really cares if you make a mistake

Oh, come on down
We can drown in this water
It's only gonna set us free
Come on down
We can drown in this water
You've been praying for a remedy

Oh, come on down
We can drown in this water
It's only gonna set us free
Come on down
We can drown in this water
You've been praying for a remedy

  2. Well, I believe every song can have multiple interpretations. It's all in how you look at it. I assume this song has a specific meaning that Carolina Liar wrote it for, but I interpret this song as a way to live with what you have. It talks about forgetting mistakes and regret, and loving the fact that you may be a mess but that you have to accept it. I think the big message is to accept yourself. And it seems (through the chorus) that the songwriter also has flaws but accepts himself along with the person he is singing about. Accepting yourself is easier when you have someone who already does.

  3. Nice song.

On a side note: I have a few questions regarding this blog, if you don't mind.

    1. How did you change the template of this blog?
    2. Is it a custom template?
    3. Name of fonts you are using on this template.

Ohh, I also like the way you express yourself. The other post about your blonde hair acting up actually made me laugh a bit. Keep it up.

  4. Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy the blog. As for the template, it's not custom, but something I found on here. Go to the design tab, then template designer, then under the background tab should be an option which shows you more templates, and mine background was under home and garden, the last background listed. As for the layout, just go to the layout tab and you can change that there. The font is "covered by your grace." Thanks again!
