Home- Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

I love my hometown.  For the past two days, my town has had a River Jam (we live right off the river) where there is live music, carny food, and arts and crafts.  I love it.  We have about 3-4 of these festivals in the summer and then a few during the early fall.  I just love how much integrity and pride my hometown has.  We love our town and community and will never let it become something we wouldn't brag about lol. I plan on living here for the rest of my life.

I have loved this song since last summer.  I heard it first on the way to the hospital where I was going to have a major surgery and it just calmed me down.  It has always held a special place in my heart just for that reason.  I was disappointed and shocked to hear that the lead singer's name is actually Alexander and not Edward.  Freaked me out.  Anywho, I love everything about this song, the whistling, the duet (so rare these days), the silly lyrics, the dialogue in the middle, the featured piano and brass, everything.  Such a GREAT song, and great album, I may add.

Alabama Arkansas, I do love my Ma and Pa
But not as much as I do love you
Holy moly me oh my, your the apple of my eye
Girl ain't never loved one like you
Man o Man your my best friend I scream it to the nothingness
that we got everything we need
Hot and heavy, pumpkin pie
Chocolate candy, Jesus Christ
Ain't nothin please me more than you

Home, let me come home
Home is whenever I'm with you
Home, yes I am home
Home is wherever I'm with you

Lalalala, take me home
Mama I'm coming fome

I follow you into the park, through the jungle through the dark
Girl ain't never loved one like you
Moats and boats and waterfalls, alleyways and payphone calls
I been everywhere with you, that's true
Laugh until we think we'll die, barefoot on a summer night
never could be sweeter than with you
And in the streets, you're running free
like it's only you and me jade/ebes your somethin to see

Home, let me come home
Home is whenever I'm with you
Home, yes I am home
Home is wherever I'm with you

Lalalala take me home
Mama I'm comin home

Jade?
Alexander.
You remember that night you fell outa my window?
I sure do, you came jumpin out after me
Well, you fell on the concrete, nearly broke your ass, and you were bleeding all over the place and I rushed you to the hospital, you remember that?
Yes I do
Well, there's somethin I never told you about that night
What didn't you tell me?
well, while you were sitting in the back seat smokin a cigarrette you thought was gona be your last, I was falling deep, deeply in love with you, and I never told you til just now
Aww

Home, let me come home
Home is whenever I'm with you
Home, yes I am home
Home is wherever I'm with you

Home, let me come home, home is wherever I'm with you
Home, yes I am home, home is whenever I'm with you

Alabama, Arkansas, I do love my Ma and Pa
Moats and boat and waterfalls, alleyways and payphone calls
Yes home, yes ward, home is whenever I'm with you
Home is whenever I'm with you

Ah home, let me go home
Home is wherever I'm alone with you
Ah home, let me go home
Home is where I'm alone with you
